PHILOSOPHY

Since its beginnings in 2012, Louise Damas has shaped her design practice around a conscious and thoughtful approach. This is reflected in the choice to embrace French artisanal techniques, produce on a human scale, and value longevity over urgency.

These deliberate commitments, though demanding help preserve a threatened artisanal heritage while ensuring the highest quality. Each piece is first sketched and sculpted by Louise herself, before being entrusted to workshops for production in limited series.

Anchor Point Studio

Keen to align her personal values with the making of her creations, Louise Damas has maintained lasting ties with her partner workshop in Paris since the brand’s inception. Every stage of production is carried out locally, from the shaping of the prototype to the final assembly of the piece. This approach requires strict oversight of manufacturing processes, regulated by REACH*, ISO* and ICPE* standards.

Recycled materials: choosing the intelligence of matter

Reconciling aesthetic demands with deeply held values: this delicate balance is what drives the decision to use recycled metal, both for the structure of the jewelry and its gilding. Choosing recycled metals means excluding any materials extracted from mining. It’s a philosophy that draws from what already exists, without compromising ecosystems. Today, 80% of our entire collection is crafted from recycled materials.

An object born of patience

Choosing the long run is a deliberate stance. Allowing ideas to mature, giving the material space to react, and leaving time for the hand to explore and refine. A rhythm shaped by iterations and adjustments. The slowness of craftsmanship cannot be rushed—it is built within a fragile balance. Louise Damas thus embraces the beauty of thoughtful detail, somewhere between intuition and mastery. The precious irregularities, born of human hands, stand in contrast to industrial production.

This commitment, however, is balanced by the choice of local, short-circuit manufacturing. Where time stretches, it is immediately shortened by Louise’s closeness to her partners, particularly her Paris-based workshop. In this global dynamic, the volumes of each collection follow the pace of demand. In a few cases, the brand relies on pre-orders, ensuring that each piece produced responds to a genuine desire to be worn, rather than to mere projection.
