The RJC-CoC label, for more ethical and sustainable gold

This was one of our biggest goals for 2024: we are very proud to now use
of 24-carat recycled and RJC-CoC certified gold for the gilding of our jewelry.
The company that supplies this gold is based in France, in the Lyon region.
This company has the certification of the Responsible Jewelry Council (RJC), a label sometimes little known to the general public.
but it is nevertheless a real standard which provides valuable guarantees to consumers.

#1

What is the RJC label?

The Responsible Jewelry Council (RJC) is a global non-profit organization founded in 2005.
Its main objective is to certify the good practices of companies in the jewelry and watchmaking sector in terms of ethical, social and environmental responsibility.

#2

How to get certified?

To obtain RJC certification, each company must undergo a stringent three-year audit. The code of best practices is regularly updated as needed, incorporating, among other things, the United Nations guiding principles and increased requirements regarding the origin of raw materials.

#3

What is the impact of the RJC label?

The RJC label guarantees supply chain transparency by ensuring traceability of raw materials, decent working conditions, and a reduced environmental impact. In addition, the CoC (Chain of Custody) standard allows companies to voluntarily commit to more responsible sourcing.
