What are our jewels made of?
Our jewelry is made from recycled tin and brass. We use 100% recycled tin and 40% recycled brass.
The latter percentage is due to the fact that we don't make our own chains and clasps; these are carefully selected from external suppliers and are not yet made from recycled brass. The 24-carat gold we use to gild our jewelry is recycled and RJC-CoC certified.
24-carat gold is pure gold, unlike 18k gold, which is cut with other metals. The stems and clasps of our earrings are made of 925 sterling silver to avoid any risk of allergy.
Our precious jewels (Eve and Anna medallions) are in vermeil: sterling silver plated with 24K gold. These jewels can be worn continuously (including underwater!).
85% of our materials are sourced in the European Union and do not contain lead, nickel or cadmium, allergens controversial for their impact on health.
