A series of conversations centered around jewelry that becomes one of a kind through the stories it carries. An engraving, a memory—over time, each piece comes to hold a deeply personal and intimate story.

For this third edition, Juliette and Julie, founders of the architecture studio Gasparetto Parenti, explore their vision of harmony through the words engraved on their jewelry—reflecting the values that guide them every day.

Julie

"Harmony, to me, is about finding beauty in the simplest things. It's a sense of balance and rightness—in the light, a landscape, a meal. It's when nothing feels excessive, and everything seems naturally in its place."

"It's an idea that guides both my life and my work. We design spaces where different elements coexist without competing with one another. To me, harmony isn't the absence of tension—it's finding the right balance between contrasts."

"I chose the word VALE, which in Latin means 'be well' or 'take care.' I love that it evokes both gentleness, quiet strength, and an attentiveness to the world around us. I had it engraved in lowercase block letters—a way of presenting the word simply, without hierarchy. I imagine this piece as a quiet reminder. Something you wear without thinking, yet one that speaks to something essential."

Juliette

"I chose the word POISE, which describes a sense of graceful balance and quiet self-possession. I love that it conveys both grace and strength, without excess or display."

"It's a quality I admire in people, and one I strive for in the spaces I design. The projects that move me most are those where nothing demands attention, where everything holds together effortlessly. Where balance feels instinctive, even though it's the result of a long and thoughtful process."

"Like Julie, I chose lowercase block letters for the engraving. That attention to detail is also a way of pursuing harmony through every last element. Wearing this engraved word feels like giving yourself a compass—a quiet reminder of what you're striving toward."
